For those tired of trying and ready to win.
The Art of Getting a Job
Twelve years of selection-process experience, distilled into twenty chapters. Luck is not a strategy. Ediciones La Tierra · ISBN 978-9942-751-33-1. (Spanish edition.)

You are good at your profession.
But no one taught you how to land the job to practice it. We teach that.
This book is not for everyone. It is for you.the burned-out.the new graduate.the laid-off parent.the underpaid pro.
For the new graduate no one is calling back.
For the laid-off parent who feels the world turned hostile.
For those who know they can do more, but cannot turn it into offers.
For those who want a job that pays well — and has meaning.
The job search is a war
Not a fight — a campaign. There is terrain, timing, invisible enemies (algorithms, ATS, exhausted recruiters). There is discipline. There is craft. Juan Martín wrote it down in twenty chapters that change the way you look for work.
From spy to strategist
Read job descriptions like terrain reconnaissance. Every word counts.
Knowledge is your weapon
What you study, read and practice decides who hires you.
AI lands the offer
Use generative AI as your second brain through the entire pipeline.
A campaign you win, not a search
Four disciplines the book walks through, then practiced inside JXBS.ai.
Know where you stand
How to read your real market, what your experience is worth, and why most candidates apply for the wrong role.
A profile that opens doors
CV, LinkedIn and portfolio that pass human and AI filters. How to write what the recruiter actually wants to read.
The interview as conversation
Structure, trick questions, salary negotiation. The difference between answering and persuading.
Sustain a career
What to do in the first 90 days, how to ask for raises, when to switch, and how to keep control of your trajectory.
Twenty chapters, one method
Each chapter ends with a practical exercise. The digital course walks through them on video.

From the process to the method
Juan Martín Cordero Matovelle is an entrepreneur and a specialist in employability, recruitment and selection. For over twelve years he has worked at the exact point where careers are decided: the assessment table. Across interviews, case studies, filters and negotiations he has watched the same pattern repeat itself: talent does not always win — the candidate who knows how to prove it does.
He is the founder of JXBS.ai, an ecosystem combining learning, guided practice and technology to train candidates with method and turn the job search into a more precise process. He has also partnered with universities to bring training closer to what the market truly demands and shrink the gap between graduating and getting hired.
He was co-founder of Externa Talent Excellence, a talent consulting firm where he supported companies through selection processes and professionals through critical career transitions. That experience — from both sides of the table — anchors the central idea of his work: employability is built.
His approach rests on three pillars: personal clarity, strategy and disciplined execution. Getting hired is not luck; it is preparation — reading the terrain, training the right skills and sustaining the process with strong mindset.
His purpose is to grow employability across Latin America through technology, tools and actionable methods. The Art of Getting a Job is the synthesis of that path: a system to compete better and win.
